Sometimes, I even surprise myself! LOL! I got everything together late last night, so that I could start Jacks' shirt today. It is a striped number & of course I was nervous to start it :P Anyway, I started on it this morning & have had to take a ton of breaks since its a complicated shirt. I just had to focus on each stripe & the shades/highlights that went with them. I finished his shirt this afternoon & couldnt be happier with it! Actually, its very shocking to see it completed...it looks very realistic :) I have started the skin tones on this one & will post more pics very soon! BTW, the last photo is the scanned version so the colors are PERFECT in that one.

Aha!
Well, being the idiot that I can be when engrossed in a project...i NEVER considered scanning my work instead of taking pics. The photos NEVER turn out the way that I want, so here is a GREAT version of the finished Jack :) I cant always scan them, since the sizes vary with each portrait but this one works!
The color of his skin has turned out so AMAZING ;)

Working hard...
Well, I took some time away from the portrait & am back in full force :) I am completed a total of 7 layers of color on the first Jack! He is starting to look AMAZING ;) My previous pics of the earlier layers didnt turn out very well, so I am just posting a current pic .

Coming along....
Well, I ran home after work today to get my coloring FIX...LOL! Seriously, though I have put a total of 3 finished layers onto the background tonight & its really lookin good. I decided to go with gray, because his skin tone is SO GREAT & I dont want the background to wash it out in ANY way :)
1 layer of gray
2 layers of gray
3 layers of gray
I plan on using these 3 colors again in a 2nd complete wash of the background. This will give it a smooth, finished texture :)
