Most recent scanned version...

I worked on her sweet face some more this morning & since I cant seem to get a good photo i went ahead and scanned it in ;) Looks really awesome this way. I love deepening the shadows on her face just makes everything work :) The white line around her snout is for when I start the highlights, which is my next hurdle. Hoping to finish soon & i will post updated photos as i complete different stages.

Pencil drawing of Giada...

Okay, so I've been trying to work on this ALL day :P Not much luck with a kiddo hanging on your leg...LOL! He watched me do the drawing & was very excited but when it came to me putting on the finishing touches...not so much. I am halfway finished with the pencil rendition. Just wanna make sure that I have it to the simplest level before I start adding the color.

Giada...

My AMAZING hairstylists' lil puppy is the sweetest ;) She also has a basset hound that I will be drawing in the near future! She chose the first pic but likes the background in the 2nd pic....i totally agree & cant wait to get started. The piece will be a total of 16x20 with a one inch border around the portrait. I am going to be doing the pencil rendition/sketch today, then moving on from there ;)

The actual portrait pic...no leash ;)

This is the background that i will be using rather than the wood planks in the first pic. I think it will give it a GREAT color & composition ;)
