Almost there!

Well, yesterday I got really into the portrait & pretty much finished it. After I finished Roli's face I realized that I hadnt taken ANY pics while I was working...Ooops!

The portrait is looking AMAZING, but now that I have slept and not been staring @ it for hrs on end I see some things that I want to change...minor things, of course. Like the skin texture....Will's face has a very smooth texture, but Roli & Leahs' have a very painterly style going on. Gotta fix that :)

AND....he's DONE! :)

Started the day off well & finished the majority of Will's skin tones.

Added some finishing touches by darkening the shadows on his face.

One layer of color on his hair

Mixing in the blond highlights....I had to include my "Oops" eraser...its so cute :)

Added in different shades of brown to give the hair more depth

FINISHED!
Went over the sharpie outline one last time & finished up his shirt :D

Overall, a quick finish & now to move on to lil roli!

My workspace :)

I started Will's eyes & plan on finishing him completely today....here's hoping :D

Here are the colors that I will use on their eyes & skin tones....plus some brown shades that arent in there. Glad I noticed that now! There will be close to 12-13 layers of colored pencil on the each face.

I ALWAYS do the eyes & mouth first....just the way I have done it since I started drawing faces. They are the most fun to me :)

4 layers of color...just getting the base color down, then I move on to just adding color darker/shaded areas of the face.

5 layers...time to take a break!

Slowly, but surely...

Background & sharpie outlines are DONE! Now time to decide what colors to use for their skin tones & move right along. I'm thinking that just white t-shirts will look AWESOME & help to make it look like it is an actual pic that was taken & not something just placed together :)

Background in the WORKS...

3 layers added to the background
4 layers added to the background

Its crazy how much adding one extra color can change a piece so much :) I am going for a mossy, muddy looking green for the final product. My problem now is to find my awesome electric pencil sharpener...seems to have disappeared somewhere during the move :( Cant work on it anymore until I find a sharpener somewhere....all my pencils are too dull...lol!

Portrait Prices....

I have been doing the pricing for the portraits with each customer that is interested. I have others that are just curious about prices & sizes, so I am posting sizes with APPROXIMATE prices. Please keep in mind that these are approximate due to some people wanting more than one person in a portrait or even the amount of work that I put into the piece.  The prices are subject to change, so please be aware of this ahead of time. All photos that are provided must be good quality photos that are clear, so that I can use them as reference photos throughout the drawing process. I also do pet portraits and family portraits :D Please feel free to ask questions, if needed :)

8x10 ~ $100.....one person ONLY
9x12 ~ $125.....one person ONLY
